Life is wonderful but at times it can be overwhelming.
When this happens counselling may help.
A good counsellor doesn’t fix things for you… or tell you, or a significant other what to do. Rather, you may find that time spent in counselling validates, supports and empowers you to find your own helpful pathways through challenging issues and situations.
Each year about one in five adult Australians experience a common mental health problem such as anxiety or depression.* These disabling conditions often go untreated because people just don't get around to getting help.
Drawing on western psychotherapy and practical mindfulness training, Alison's counselling is informed by a personal mindfulness practice, solution-focused narrative therapy, family systems theory and humanistic psychology.
Alison is also trained in ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy)
